Key safety information

Fire safety

The fire safety muster point is in road area of Tithe Mews. If the employees are left alone with Thomas, they are responsible for ensuring his safety in any fire event.

Clearly identifiable keys will be provided to give two safe routes from the home – via:

• the front door
• the rear door, garden gate and side gate

All employees will be shown the relevant keys.

Windows

All windows are locked in line with Thomas’ behaviour support plan. Therefore, these cannot be considered as potential exit points from the home.

All employees will be shown the relevant keys for the windows.

Electricity

The main electricity control panel is located near the front door.

Water

The water stopcock is located under the kitchen sink.

Gas

The sole gas source in the property is the boiler in the kitchen. There is a stopcock under the boiler.

First aid

The first aid facilities are located in the kitchen cupboard to the left of the oven.

Cooking

The cooker is electrical. There is an emergency switch to the right of the cooker.

Heating

Heating is controlled via the gas-fired boiler and a thermostat on the wall near the kitchen. Each radiator is also adjustable and controllable.

Emergency contacts

In any emergencies, you should call 999.

As we do not have a landline phone, all employees should either:

(a) keep their mobile phone with them

or

(b) keep their mobile phone easily accessible

All employees will be provided with the mobile telephone numbers for both Jo and Michael.
